Of course, the Warriors are coming off an up-and-down season that saw them turn things around and eventually reach the second round of the playoffs after acquiring Butler from the Miami Heat at the trade deadline.
Now with their new core of Curry, Butler and Green, the Warriors will try to upgrade the roster around them to try and win another championship next season.

Golden State has been linked to many players heading into the offseason including Nikola Vucevic of the Chicago Bulls and Derrick White of the Boston Celtics.
While the Warriors have shown interest in White, they are reportedly also showing interest in another champion from the Celtics.

According to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, the Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers are among the many teams to contact the Celtics regarding a potential trade for Kristaps Porzingis.
“The next order of business in Boston is trading Kristaps Porzingis, sources said. As he enters the final year of his contract, Porzingis has drawn interest from several teams in both conferences,” Siegel wrote. “The Pelicans, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, and Toronto Raptors are a few of the 10-12 teams that have been in contact with the Celtics recently, sources said.”
This is a massive report by Siegel and one that is not too surprising as the Warriors have been in desperate need of a new starting center over the last handful of seasons.

Of course, making a move for Porzingis would be a major risk for Golden State due to his massive contract and injury history.

Despite this, Porzingis would give the Warriors a much-needed center that would be a great defensive fit next to Green inside and would also help space the floor due to his three-point shooting.
While that may be the case, it would be difficult for Golden State to pull off a trade for the Celtics’ star due to salary reasons.
