Bolton has launched a new website with an aim to showcase the borough’s ongoing regeneration to national and international investors at UKREiiF 2026.
investinbolton.com features an interactive development map, profiles of successfully completed projects, and a directory of investment opportunities.
Work is now underway at Bolton’s Church Wharf development, while demolition company Rhodar is projected to spend £1m with local contractors and suppliers once work to demolish Crompton Place begins this summer.
It will pave the way for a £250m mixed-use development by urban regeneration specialist Federated Hermes MEPC.
Meanwhile, local developer Watson Homes will construct 400 new homes and a hotel at the town centre gateway at Church Wharf.
Bolton town centre is one of the catalyst projects within the wider NorthFold strategic location – a major growth corridor connecting the town with Wigan which has the potential to deliver 9,000 new homes, £356m in GVA and the long-awaited M6 to M61 link road.
NorthFold includes Harworth’s one million sq ft commercial development at Hexagon Park, which could create 6,000 new jobs.
Alongside bricks-and-mortar development, the new site also details Bolton Council’s commitment to supporting investment and regeneration through policy.

“Developments like Wellsprings, Moor Lane and Logistics North show what we can do, while Crompton Place, Church Wharf and Hexagon Park mark an exciting new chapter in our regeneration story.
“We also know that we need to create an environment where investors and businesses can thrive and we’re doing that through a whole suite of policies to boost our tourism, build on our strengths and promote growth.”
The team from Bolton Council will host “NorthFold – Partnership, Performance and Place” alongside Wigan Council at UKREiiF on the public-private sector stage on Tuesday 19 May at 2.15pm.
