Singapore has passed legislation designed to tighten gaps around the policing of money flowing into the Asian financial hub.

The new law will enhance the ability of government agencies to detect and enforce money laundering through data sharing and other prosecutorial means, according to a reading in parliament on Tuesday by Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information, and Second Minister for Home Affairs.
