IANIS HAGI’S Ibrox future remains uncertain.

But the agent of the Euro 2024 star is willing to dig deep into his OWN pockets to get the Romanian playmaker a move away from Rangers.

The 25-year-old was part of his nation’s run to the last 16 of this summer‘s championships, where they fell to defeat by The Netherlands in the first knockout round.

He had the worst possible start to the match in Munich’s Alianz Arena earlier this week, needing medical attention after suffering an accidental blow to the head from the arm of Dutch right-back Denzel Dumfries.

Blood was showing and he had to wear a bizarre piece of protective equipment, but he was able to continue.

However, it was not enough in the end for Hagi and his teammates as his country exited the competition after a 2-0 loss.

He’s therefore been given an extended break from playing while his Gers colleagues have returned for pre-season training under manager Philippe Clement.

He will join up with the rest of the Ibrox squad later this month where he will be assessed by the Belgian who hasn’t worked with the Romanian yet.

Hagi was loaned out to Spanish outfit Alaves by predecessor Michael Beale, spending the whole of last season in La Liga.

Signed by then-boss Steven Gerrard in 2020, Hagi has never managed to nail down a regular spot in the Light Blues starting XI and has been linked with a permanent switch away from Scotland.

Now his representative Giovanni Becali is determined to secure his future.

And he’s revealed how he hopes to be able to find his client a new club – even if he has to fund the deal HIMSELF.

Speaking to outlet Digi Sport in his homeland, Becali said: ” I’m going with my wife.

“I would be more than happy to help him find a team.

“I would spend money from me and my brother to find something for Ianis.”

But he added that there could still be a future for the player in Scotland – if the club still want him.

Becali said: “He has a contract with Rangers and I think he will start training with them.

“I hope that the coach will continue to consider him (as part of the first-team squad).”

You might remember Hagi and glamorous wife Elena said “I do” back in December.
