AFFORDABILITY checks are increasing the risk that black market bookmakers will fuel money laundering, a prominent lawyer has said.

Jeremy Asher, a lawyer specialising in fraud, issued the warning. He co-founded the Financial Fraud Awareness Campaign and has advised on Gambling Commission applications. He gambling affordability checks could push more people to turn to illegal bookmakers.
