Integrated Lending Expansion

County Durham-based property service company Casa Group is launching a new financial services division that will offer a whole of market mortgage proposition to both new and existing clients, ranging from commercial lending and equity release to portfolio restructuring and private client finance.

It comes eight months after the acquisition of Scottish property and mortgage brokerage Cox & Co and forms part of the company’s nationwide expansion plan.

Casa Group managing director for England, Adele Wright, said: “One of the plans we had when acquiring Cox & Co was being able to provide a whole of market mortgage proposition. I’m delighted to now be able to roll this out to new customers as well as our existing pool of clients and landlords alongside our lettings, sales and property management services. We believe we are now a true one-stop shop for buyers, renters, sellers and investors across the UK.”

New appointments

Grant Williamson has been appointed as the group’s first mortgage advisor in England, having held similar roles with both Barclays and Howden, while managing director for Scotland, John Cox, will be the division’s principal broker.

Cox said: “Our ambition is to become the fastest growing property services group in the UK, offering a true turnkey service. “We have been working hard on integrating Cox & Co into the wider group. As a board, we have taken a considered and structured approach to ensure everything is implemented correctly. Our priority has been to fully prepare the financial arm for rollout, ensuring we have the necessary capacity in place.”
