BWH Hotels GB has reported a 7% boost in revenue in its results from January to June 2025.
The group, which is behind brands such as Best Western and WorldHotels, delivered £73.3m in total bedroom revenue, supported by a 19% increase in events and group bookings year-on-year.
BWH Hotels GB said the growth of its rewards programme had led to its members spending £30.6m in its hotels in the first half of 2025, up 17% from 2024 and 11% ahead of budget.
Over the past six months, the group has welcomed nine new hotels to its portfolio, including the Clarence Gardens hotel in Scarborough, Velvet hotel in Manchester and the Crooklands in Kendal, with more additions to the BW Signature Collection in the pipeline.
The move forms part of plans to add 100 hotels to BWH Group’s 230-strong UK portfolio under brands including Best Western and WorldHotels over the next five years.
Tim Rumney, chief executive of BWH Hotels GB, said: “We’ve made a strong start to 2025 and the second half of the year brings fresh challenges and opportunities. Hotels are still facing real pressure from cautious corporate demand to rising costs and continued economic uncertainty.
“Our hotelier-led model means we can act quickly, focus on what matters and reinvest every penny back into driving bookings, building loyalty and supporting performance – not into shareholder dividends. That’s a big difference in today’s market and one we’re proud to lead on.”
Looking ahead, Rumney said the business would continue its focus on driving corporate demand, improving its new website and investing in digital channels to drive conversions.
BWH Hotels operates in more than 100 countries with 4,200 hotels in its portfolio. Each hotel is individually owned, making BWH Hotels one of the largest groups of independent hotels.
