Popular retail trading platform Robinhood has officially started rolling out a dedicated social network, which it has built directly into its app. The new community feature, called Robinhood Social, is currently available in a beta testing phase to an initial group of 1,000 highly active users who attended the company’s summit recently. Robinhood is planning to expand access to 10,000 more selected users in the coming weeks before an eventual public launch later this year.

The firm has designed its new social trading platform to centralize investor conversations and bring clarity to a space often dominated by anonymous forum posts and unverified claims.

Robinhood Social has verified profiles of traders

One of Robinhood Social’s strengths is that each user is a real person. The company has verified the identity of the user through its standard compliance checks. This strict verification system helps prevent automated bots from artificially inflating stock hype or manipulating market sentiment.

Robinhood traders who join the social networking platform can generate custom profiles. On their profile, they can share their actual performance and statistics with the community. Additionally, they have the option to show daily profit and loss metrics, overall success rates, and a detailed history of past positions.

When someone on the network buys or sells an asset, their followers can watch those specific entry and exit points happen live on Robinhood.

Furthermore, Robinhood has designed the social networking platform to look and function similarly to microblogging websites like X (formerly Twitter). Robinhood allows people to like and comment on posts by other users. They can also follow specific investors whose methods they admire.

The Robinhood social network is currently in beta. People using this version can post about their stock choice. It offers people single-leg options, cryptocurrencies, and prediction markets.

Robinhood has plans to roll out a handful of features in the coming weeks. As of now, the trading platform has not yet announced when Robinhood Social will be available to all account holders.
