The Cobble Shop, which has sold landscaping supplies, aggregates, paving and building materials for almost two decades, will close on August 31.
The business, run by owner Tom Blackwood, says that the decision is due to a number of factors, but mostly because of the “huge rise in operating costs”.
A spokesperson said: “We would like to thank all our customers, suppliers and sub contactors for their help and support over the years, it has been very much appreciated.
“Most of all we would like to thank all our staff for all their hard work. The effort they have put in has been amazing.
“Starting today we will be having a clearance sale, everything in our yard must go. Please contact the shop for details.

“Going forward we will be concentrating on the property side of our business.
“Once again thanks to everyone that has been part of this journey.”
The business was a regular supporter of local events and football teams, including being one of the headline sponsors of Stewarton’s amateur side.
