The first edition of Mortage and Property Investment Magazine of 2024 is finally here, and it is sure to kick off an interesting and exciting year for the sector. The previous 12 months have been nothing short of a whirlwind but a seemingly resurgent housing market, a holding of interest rates and a surge in confidence should bring about a more fruitful period over the coming weeks and months.
To kick off the new year
To get us started for 2024, Mortgage and Property Investment Magazine brings you a selection of expert analysis, industry tips and inciteful thought leadership.
First up Jaxon Stevens of Tuscan Capital explains the importance of short-term, specialist finance and how bridging loans can be best utilised by advisers and their clients in the current market. In the same article Jaxon also outlines his thoughts on the current state of play in the market and gets his crystal ball out when looking ahead at what might be coming later this year.
Following up from Jaxon, Dave Castling, head of intermediaries at Atom bank, highlights why slick and efficient processes can pay dividends with brokers. He stresses the importance of knowing what intermediaries and their clients need most so everyone can enjoy a smoother, faster and fairer mortgage process.
Finally, we take a look at the latest research by national estate agency, Yopa, that suggests that with thousands of sellers re-listing their homes for sale in 2024 an oppurtunity may have presented itself for homebuyers to secure an asking price discount.
