Hailey Bieber is taking the smart rhode.
After selling her Rhode Skin line to e.l.f. Beauty, the 28-year-old shared what she plans to do with the money she made from the $1 billion deal.
Ultimately, Hailey wants to store it somewhere safe for her and husband Justin Bieber‘s 14-month-old son Jack Blues Bieber to have one day.
“I want to preserve that for my son’s future,” the model told WSJ. Magazine in an interview published Oct. 14. “It’s an amount of money that I have not dealt with before, so I just want to be smart with it.”
One way she hopes to manage her profits? Hailey—who split $800 million in cash and stock from the deal with Rhode CEO Nick Vlahos, as well as her cofounders Lauren Ratner and Michael D. Ratner—explained, “I would like to invest it wisely.”
And that’s not the only way she’s being thoughtful about her son’s future. Hailey also provided insight into why she doesn’t show Jack’s face on social media—and has no plans to anytime soon.

“Until your child can understand it and it’s possible to have conversation around it,” Hailey said, “I have no interest in putting him out there in any way.”
Hailey announced that Rhode Skin was acquired by e.l.f. Beauty back in May, sharing that her decision to be bought out by the company was due to her desire to bring her products to “more spaces, places, and faces globally.”

But while her skincare line may have officially transferred hands, she also revealed that she will still play an active role in its future endeavors, remaining Chief Creative Officer and Head of Innovation at Rhode, as well as work as a strategic advisor for e.l.f.
“Thank you to the amazing rhode team who have helped me build over the years,” Hailey wrote on Instagram May 28. “I couldn’t have done it without all of you. And to our rhode community, thank you for being the most supportive and for being on this journey, this next chapter is going to be even more incredible together!”
