Have you been getting heaps of promotional emails and texts enticing you to get ahead of your Christmas shopping?

There are reports that small business owners are losing thousands of dollars to customers who claim the products they’ve purchased never arrive. 

Despite business owners sending the banks evidence of transactions, delivery times and confirmation from the customer, they’re still not getting paid. 

Some owners are calling for better protections for merchants when these fraudulent chargebacks arise. 

ABC NewsRadio’s Thomas Oriti spoke with Brad Kelly, the co-founder of the Independent Payments Forum, which represents about 120,000 small businesses and their payment systems.
