THE Queen of Clean has revealed the five popular products that she believes are a total waste of money.
Not only this, but Lynsey Crombie, the best-selling author, columnist and regular on ITV’s This Morning, shared what to use instead.
So if you’re on a budget but your house could do with a good scrub and you don’t know where to start, then fear not, you’ve come to the right place.
Posting on social media, the blonde beauty got candid on “unnecessary cleaning products” she would never purchase from Home Bargains.
First things first, if you want your home to smell fresh, according to Lynsey, it’s much simpler than you think.
She shared: “Now let’s start with air fresheners – I’ve never felt the need for them, instead, just throw open the windows and let that fresh air flow through.”

Secondly, instead of using Viakal, a popular limescale remover, Lynsey acknowledged a natural alternative.
The cleaning guru confessed that she has “never been a fan” of Viakal, as she claimed it is “far too strong and abrasive.”
Instead, she explained: “I use white vinegar, my favourite is infused with lemon – it’s gentle, effective and removes limescale and hard water with ease.”
Not only is she not keen on Viakal, but she doesn’t buy Fabulosa either.
In her opinion, products from Fabulosa “don’t clean well,” and instead, she uses bargains from Astonish, which she claimed are not only cruelty-free, but are also vegan-friendly and “work brilliantly.”
When it comes to floor wipes, Lynsey recommended: “Ditch them – a spray mop is easier on your knees, eco-friendly and keeps the floors streak free.”
Finally, rather than spending money on harsh oven cleaners, the cleaning expert shared that “simplest products really are the best.”
She concluded: “If your oven hasn’t been cleaned in over a year, you may possibly need them – but if you keep on top, it’s a simple mix of lemon and bicarbonate of soda – these do a fantastic job.”
