The likes of Judd Trump, Kyren Wilson and Neil Robertson are among those looking to stop the Welsh potter becoming the first man to win this title back-to-back since Ronnie O’Sullivan in 2013 and 2014.

O’Sullivan, who is a four-time winner of this event, failed to qualify as he has not won a tournament since January 2024.
