Eddie Hall has astonishingly suggested he didn’t receive a penny for his fight with Thor Bjornsson.

British star Hall did battle with strongman rival Bjornsson in March 2022, in what was billed as the ‘Heaviest Boxing Fight in History’ in Dubai.

Hall and Bjornsson settled a long-term rivalry in the squared circle

Hall fell to defeat, losing on points after being dropped twice by his fellow World’s Strongest Man, in a devastating debut in the squared circle.

But incredibly, he has revealed that he hasn’t earned any of his proposed multi-million purse.

“It stands for me and I believe it stands for Thor too, we didn’t get paid anything,” he said on strongman Brian Shaw’s podcast.

“Everything just fell through and the TV company that broadcast the fight just didn’t pay.

“The choice was we do pay-per-view or get this guaranteed money. It was nowhere near as much as you’d like but it’s guaranteed.

“The guarantee was seven-figures, but I thought we were making a mistake and I didn’t like it.

“But we played it safe and went with the guarantee, but we did the fight and they just went like crickets.

“They refused emails, didn’t take calls but now and again they’d claim it was coming through in a month.

Hall lost to Bjornsson and has claimed he received no reward

“But it never came, we took them to court and the bi-promoter won, but they were like what do you want us to do? We have no money.”

It is unclear how much exactly the pair were set to earn, but it was guaranteed seven-figure purses.

The pair had even proposed a huge wager beforehand with their purses, which saw the loser set to donate $200,000 to charity.

The event was a roaring success and generated huge interest, but Hall has claimed he never did receive the revenue.

Since the fight, Bjornsson has not competed in the boxing ring again despite calling out Tyson Fury for an exhibition.

Hall has competed in MMA, winning a bizarre 2 vs 1 cage fight, and is now eyeing further opportunities.

He is next eyeing a shot at another fellow strongman in Mariusz Pudzianowski, with talks understood to be ongoing.

The 36-year-old has even potentially been offered the shot on KSI’s promotion Misfits Boxing, providing conditions are met for health and safety.
