The joint trustees of BHI Trust started issuing letters of demand on Monday ‘to relevant parties that benefitted’ six months before the Ponzi scheme was provisionally sequestrated on 25 October 2023.
This is according to a 24 June press release issued on behalf of trustees Sumaya Mohammed Ali and Gert de Wet, by media and investor relations consultancy Vestor.
It added that the joint trustees have appointed Pretoria-based W S Badenhorst Attorneys to issue the letters of demand to ‘entities that received benefits’ from 25 April 2023 to 25 October 2023 and it urged these beneficiaries to contact the attorneys [via contact details in the letters].
