The Finance Department says the one-year ban imposed on research company McNair yellowSquares for falsifying survey results proves the regime to weed out dodgy consultants is working.
The department, which sets the rules for how the Commonwealth makes purchases, also said its monitoring of reports of unethical behaviour at commercial real estate company JLL Australia showed proposed laws to ban unethical companies were unnecessary.
