Karen Allan has been promoted to partner at haysmacintyre. She will also co-head the financial services team with the accounting and consulting firm.

haysmacintyre is a London-headquartered firm of chartered accountants and tax advisors, with over 550 partners and staff. The firm’s financial services team was established over 20 years ago, the financial services sector now comprises 11 partners and over 100 staff, acting for over 250 clients across a variety of services.

Allan has been with the team since she joined haysmacintyre as a trainee in 2012. Having qualified in 2016, she was promoted to director four years later – having progressed swiftly through her managerial career.

Looking ahead, she will work as co-head of the financial services team, drawing on her particular expertise working for wealth managers and advisory businesses, in addition to fintechs, venture capital and private equity firms. At the same time, having played a key role in establishing a haysmacintyre outpost in Cape Town, she will also become a director in the firm’s South African entity.
