Members of the Joint Finance Committee are very busy working on our state budget. They know how important the budget is for our state. Their selection to the Joint Finance Committee gives them a great deal of responsibility. JFC members are responsible for the future of Wisconsin.
The decisions they make will impact many things including our environmental future, our economic future, our agricultural and manufacturing future and our educational future. This list could be much longer if everything the budget impacts were listed.
I strongly urge all members of the Joint Finance Committee to work cooperatively with each other as colleagues, all of the legislators, all department heads and the Legislative Fiscal Bureau to develop and implement the 2025-26 budget for Wisconsin. This budget is essential to the success and future of Wisconsin. Working together to develop a budget that protects our environment, supports our economy, improves our educational programs and keeps Wisconsin as an agricultural and manufacturing powerhouse is possible. And it is essential.
It is essential that our state, which is made up of many communities with families and individuals who can, and do, thrive here, has a 2025-26 budget that supports all of us. It is the responsibility of Joint Finance Committee members to listen to their constituents and work with all of their colleagues to develop and implement the 2025-26 budget that is for all of Wisconsin.
