VOICES in the Verwood Choral Society will hope to hit the right notes at a charity concert next month.
The choral group will perform at Verwood Methodist Church on June 6, in aid of the East Dorset and New Forest Branch of the MND Association.
Run by volunteers, the charity provides support services to people and their families living in the BH postal area diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
There is currently no cure for MND, which robs people not only of their mobility but their speech, their ability to eat and eventually their ability to breathe.
A third of people die within a year of being diagnosed.
The branch offers tailored support programs, including home visits, support group meetings, in the form of coffee mornings/afternoons, information to help with daily living and they also provide financial help via grants.
The choral society will be singing a variety of music on June 6, including songs from My Fair Lady, Evita and Simon and Garfunkel.
The concert starts at 7pm and tickets cost £7 on the door, including refreshments.
There will also be a raffle.
“If you are looking for some lovely music, great company and an evening out while raising money for a worthwhile cause, do come along,” a spokesperson said.
