

Jonathan Lee has been appointed chief financial officer at Brodies after two decades experience in financial services.
Prior to joining the firm, he was director of finance and investment operations at Aviva and has also held senior finance roles at Standard Life and M&G/Prudential.
Mr Lee is a chartered accountant and with an MBA from the University of Edinburgh.

Aberdein Considine builds in south
Law firm Aberdein Considine has appointed Simon Dawes as senior associate to strengthen its commercial real estate team and support continued growth across England and Wales.
Mr Dawes has more than 25 years’ experience advising clients across the full spectrum of commercial property, including landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions and disposals and development and funding transactions.
He will support Chris Richardson, head of commercial real estate UK, in driving the firm’s continued expansion following the opening of its office in Manchester’s Spinningfields in 2024.
Mr Dawes’ previous roles include legal director at BTO Solicitors and Shoosmiths, as well as senior roles at Pinsent Masons and HBJ Gateley.
