LUANG PRABANG, Laos — Top financial officials from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations agreed Friday to promote the expansion of cross-border QR payments through compatible platforms.
ASEAN finance ministers and central bank governors meeting in Luang Prabang, Laos, issued a 25-point statement outlining the agreement, which mentioned “financing, payment and service connectivity” that covers QR payments.
