But as the founder of Banter Toys, the exclusive distributor of English Pokémon cards in Australia and New Zealand, Isaacs and his family have quietly built a fortune from cardboard prints of brightly coloured creatures. While many wrote off Pokémon cards as a relic of the 90s, Isaacs saw the seeds of a new boom, one that’s now a financial juggernaut.
