Australia’s third-biggest telecommunications group, TPG Telecom, will try to woo new shareholders by increasing the size of its free float after handing $3 billion back to existing investors.

TPG’s shareholder register is dominated by four big shareholders: the UK’s Vodafone Group, Hong Kong’s CK Hutchison Holdings, company founder David Teoh and investment group Soul Patts.
